Our Events with StrangersDo It With Strangers is an innovative social initiative designed to bring Strangers together through unique and engaging events. Our mission is to foster meaningful connections and create memorable experiences by encouraging people to step out of their comfort zones and interact with new individuals. From picnics and tapas to hiking and painting, our diverse range of events ensures there’s something always for everyone.
Young professionals, wishing to expand their social circles; expats and new residents, seeking to integrate into a new community; social enthusiasts, interested in trying new activities; solo adventurers, open to new experiences. This is where the cool people hang out.
Our Events with Strangers are unique social event where participants meet new people, share stories, and enjoy delicious drinks and snacks in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Drinks and snacks are included.
You can sign up through our website by registering your profile, filling out the necessary information, and then completing it by purchasing your ticket. You can choose between a Woman’s Ticket and Man’s Ticket because our events have limited spots available for each gender.
No, late arrivals will not be accommodated. Please arrive between 15:00 and 15:10. Important pointers at the initial briefing will be given to all Strangers at 15:15, so that the event can start promptly at 15:30.
The event format may vary, with options ranging from drinks and appetisers, or even full dinners. Additionally, the event includes music, a table assignment card, and some fun icebreaker questions to help setting the mood, all designed to ensure you fully enjoy the experience with Strangers, no matter where the beautiful setting might be in Lisbon.
Bring a positive attitude, your curiosity and comfortable clothing, and any personal items you may need.
The exact location will be shared 24 hours before the event.
The event lasts for 3 to 5 hours, depending on the event. But it is required from you to be present 15 to 30 min earlier to attend to the initial briefing. Please reserve this time and kindly stay until the end of the event. Please, also do not arrive before the time to allow for event setup. Thank you.
You will be seated at tables with 5 other Strangers. Every hour, there will be a sound signalling a rotation to the next table, allowing you to meet a new and fun group of people. You will find your table path in a card the organisers will be giving you at the initial briefing and you will only need to follow the numbers every rotation time.
Sure. The event is designed for individuals to meet new people, so we believe each participant should register separately. This ensures everyone gets the full experience of meeting new strangers. But, if participating together with your friend sitting side by side is very important for you, we will take that information into consideration when designing the table paths for every stranger. Just be sure to let us know.
Ah, the dreaded last-minute change of plans! Unfortunately, refund requests made less than 72 hours before the event are a no-no. Think of it as our way of ensuring everything is perfectly set for your amazing experience. Plus, we’ve already started packing those delicious snacks just for you!

We always try our best to accommodate our Strangers’ needs or wishes. Please inform an organiser prior to the event.
Parking availability will be detailed in our communication with the exact event location. You will also be informed about public transportation’s options.
All food and drinks are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own. Just bring your appetite for meeting new people and your enthusiasm!
As much as we’d love to meet your furry friend, we kindly ask you to leave llamas, unicorns, and other sweet pets at home.
Consider it an unplanned adventure! But since you realised you are one too many, just consult your table path card again and check the number of the table you should be sitting at, and kindly go back on track.
In case of bad weather, we will notify all Strangers of any changes or rescheduling via email. But in our events, the sun always shines. Literally and metaphorically speaking.
No worries! We will have icebreaker games to help everyone get comfortable. Plus, you can always talk about the weather, your favorite movie, or how you used to wet the bed when you were a child.
Well, that’s a bonus! Just make sure to get their contact info before the next table rotation!
We don’t believe that’s possible because all our tables are carefully curated to spark connections. But if it happens, no problem! Just smile, be polite, and remember there’s a table rotation every hour. Your new favorite person might be at the next table!
There is no strict dress code, but we recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor seating. Just please do not come in your birthday suit.
Oops! Don’t worry, your secret is safe with us. Just make sure you don’t fly away mid-picnic.
There’s no such thing as too much enthusiasm at our events! Spread those positive vibes all around.
If you request a refund after your ticket has been processed (i.e., more than 24 hours after purchase and up to 72 hours before the event) a 5€ admin fee will apply. Alternatively, you can choose to receive a voucher, valid for the next event. No refunds will be issued within the last 72 hours prior to the event.

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in our events and use of our services. By participating in our events or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms. - Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old to participate in our events. By participating, you confirm that you meet this requirement. - Event Participation
You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration for our events.
You agree to attend events for which you register and to notify us promptly if you are unable to attend. - Registrations and Reservations
Registrations for our events with Strangers open as soon as advertised and end 48 hours before the event. Strangers willing to participate must also register their interest by filling the form in the website. Registrations for events are only accepted through our website or if redirected from our website; registrations made through other platforms may be refused and not refunded. - Cancelation
If the event is canceled due to reasons beyond our control, such as - but not limited to - severe weather, natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics, we will not offer refunds. Instead, all tickets will be converted into coupons of equal value to be used for re-seating at the next event. - Events with Strangers
The exact location of the gathering is only communicated on the day before the event. We strive to select locations where the access is easy by car or by public transport. Participants are responsible for arriving on time, so they don't damage the logistics of the event. Latecomers will not be accommodated. We reserve the right to modify the location a few hours before the event for the smooth running of the experience. We are not responsible for what happens at the locations. Strangers are to be responsible and to drink moderately. Drinking and driving is strongly criticised. Purchased event tickets are non-refundable within 72 hours of the event. - Code of Conduct
